Dr. Robert Cameron is currently Professor of Music, Director of Bands and Chair of Ensembles at the Mary PappertCameron-0091-800 School of Music at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA where he conducts The Wind Symphony and guides all aspects of the wind band program. He holds degrees from the University of Miami, The University of Michigan and the University of Maryland where he studied with Frederick Fennell, H. Robert Reynolds and Arnald Gabriel.

When working with university and high school musicians, Dr. Cameron endeavors to place the same responsibility on his students, as he does in an professional environment. He believes musicians need to learn from the outset, what high expectations and requirements are needed for one to succeed in the music profession. He also utilizes faculty and applied staff to help serve as mentors and to provide additional guidance with regard to all aspects of musical performance.
Dr. Cameron frequently appears as a guest conductor for regional and all-state ensembles and has established a long track record as a sought after clinician and adjudicator.
